The induction sealing unit is designed for automatic sealing of induction foil liners inside caps to the necks of containers. It ensures product integrity, tamper evidence, and extended shelf life. The unit is installed above the conveyor and can be adjusted in height to accommodate different container sizes. Depending on cap diameter and required line speed, systems with either air or water cooling are available.
Key features
- The unit is designed for installation directly above the conveyor belt, allowing for height adjustment of the induction head depending on the type of packaging.
- Depending on the performance requirements, a choice can be made between an air- or water-cooled version.
- The welding parameters are set via a clear user interface.
- The device can be fitted with safety sensors and a system for sorting out packaging without foil.
Process Description
- The filled and sealed containers, which come out of the sealing machine, run on a conveyor belt under the induction head.
- This generates a high-frequency electromagnetic field which heats the aluminium foil inside the cap and welds it to the bottle neck.
- The process is contactless and only takes a few milliseconds. The system can optionally be equipped with a film presence sensor.
- If the seal is missing from the lid, the container can be automatically rejected.
