Process Description
- If a non-conformity is detected, the control system sends a signal to activate the rejection mechanism. Depending on the line speed and packaging type, various technologies are used – for example, air blasts, pusher ejectors, flap gates, flip gates, pushers or a swivel arm.
- The faulty product is channelled into a catch bin, which may be equipped with sensors to confirm the rejection or with a safety interlock to ensure traceability.
